POSITION SUMMARY
This is a professional position providing counseling for Cooperative Agreement to Benefit Homeless Individuals (CABHI) under the Behavioral Health and Homeless Prevention program within the Housing First Division. The CABHI program provides counseling and case management services to individuals, youth, and families who have experienced homelessness and have a severe and persistent mental health condition or co-occurring disorder. This program is focused on formally homeless individuals, youth, and families who have recently been housed in permanent or permanent supportive housing. Responsible for meeting productivity requirements of 75% which includes 1440 billable hours annually or a minimum of 30 billable hours per week Directions for Living is an essential services provider. All Directions for Living Team Members must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic, or other disaster situation.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
1. Master's degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field required. 2. Knowledge of DSM-IV and ICD-9 diagnostic codes preferred. 3. Basic knowledge of psychotropic medications. 4. Must have sufficient clinical knowledge to provide clinical intervention with adults and children who manifest a range of psychopathology, utilizing various treatment approaches including individual, family play, and group therapy, individual psychopathology and normal childhood development. 6. Must acquire knowledge of community resources. 7. Transport clients as needed and required in personal vehicles as part of service provision.
