Mental Health Counselor - Part-Time 1099 Vista Counseling & Wellness is a growing private practice with multiple locations seeking a compassionate, motivated mental health counselor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who values flexibility, professional autonomy, and the support of a collaborative private-practice environment. Position Overview We are seeking a counselor interested in working primarily with adults experiencing concerns related to: Trauma and PTSD Anxiety Relationship issues Substance use and addiction Life transitions and emotional wellness The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and interested in building a caseload within a growing group practice. Position Details Part-time 1099 independent contractor position Approximately 5-20 hours per week, depending on caseload demand and clinician availability Flexible scheduling Income-split compensation structure Private, furnished office space provided Professional development support Administrative and practice support Opportunity to grow a caseload within an established private practice Multiple practice locations This position is ideal for a clinician who is proactive, committed to providing high-quality care, and excited to contribute to the continued growth of Vista Counseling & Wellness.

Qualifications Applicants must:

Hold a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or a closely related clinical field from an accredited university Hold an active professional credential in the state of Florida Be a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, or Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern Be available to see clients during afternoon and early-evening hours Be comfortable working independently as a 1099 contractor Be willing to market themselves and develop professional relationships within the local community Demonstrate strong communication, time-management, documentation, and organizational skills EMDR training or training in another evidence-based trauma-treatment modality is strongly preferred but not required.
