Mental Health Counselor

We are a Christian, nonprofit Counseling Center providing individual, family, and group outpatient mental health care. Our mission is to make quality counseling accessible to the entire Space Coast community, decreasing barriers to compassionate, quality mental health care.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, RMHCI or LCSW) to join our team. As a counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals facing emotional and mental health challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to provide evidenced-based counseling, implement treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions.

Duties:

• Conduct therapy sessions (for RMHCIs you must be under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals)
• Create timely treatment plans and progress notes, and all other required documentation to facilitate effective treatment.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess mental health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Provide mental health counseling to individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to gain wholistic understanding of clients' needs

Skills:

• Strong background in psychotherapy techniques and interventions
• Proficient in trauma informed approaches
• Able to integrate Christian faith into evidence based treatment for Clients requesting faith based counseling
• Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations using standardized assessment tools
• Understanding of ICD-9 coding system for accurate documentation purposes
• Excellent communication skills for effective mental health counseling At our organization, we value serving our community and decreasing barriers for our clients.

We offer reduced rates to clients and partner with local organizations to meet the needs of our community. All of our counselors are independent contractors on a %60/%40 split. Counselors will be provided an office, access to EHR system, a listing on Psychology Today, and a phone number/email.
