In this role, you will provide therapeutic services to individuals facing emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges, empowering them to achieve greater well-being and resilience. Your expertise will help foster a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and motivated to pursue positive change. Duties Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to understand clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Provide individual and group, counseling sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities. Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available resources. Maintain detailed, confidential documentation of all client interactions in compliance with privacy regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, and community agencies to coordinate care. Facilitate crisis intervention when clients experience acute emotional distress or safety concerns. Requirements A valid license or certification in mental health counseling, LMHC. NO Registered Mental Health Interns.
MUST BE FULLY LICENSED IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA
Proven experience providing mental health counseling in clinical or community settings. Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or other relevant modalities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and foster trust with diverse populations. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy while maintaining confidentiality. Knowledge of local mental health resources and referral processes is preferred.
