Education and experience in Mental Health Counseling or psychology is required, as well as day, evening and/or weekend availability. This is an independent contractor position and competitive contract rates are offered. The ideal candidate will be available and looking for 20+ hours weekly. Hours will be flexible to meet your schedule and needs.   • A Master's or Doctoral degree, from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, or in a related human services field, is required.
MA Level Counselors may be licensed or registered interns seeking supervision for licensure. Licensed Clinicians must hold current license from State of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFC) in good standings. For registered interns, supervision will be provided by Dr. Taborga without charge and focus on the treatment of several populations based in a diverse range of theoretical orientations. Read more about Dr. Taborga for additional information regarding areas of specialization and experience. Doctoral Candidates must be licensed psychologists in good standing. Supervision toward Licensing for Psychologist is not available.
Position Responsibilities:
Understands the therapeutic process; understand confidentiality laws, mandated reporting laws and strong knowledge of professional ethics. Provide individual, couples, group, and family therapies. Conduct, develop and write diagnostic evaluations for new clients to include relevant facts and symptoms, findings, and observations about a client's past and present mental health challenges, impressions, diagnosis, and plan of care. Complete treatment plans, periodic reviews, and updating of treatment goals together with clients. Complete daily Progress notes. Complete discharge planning and summaries. Advanced oral and written communication skills are a must. Participate in trainings, development activities, and Continuing education classes as required. Report directly to Clinical Director. Develop new referral sources and maintain positive, professional relationships. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. Ability to demonstrate leadership abilities, and to be able to work with and communicate with persons from all educational and cultural backgrounds. Ability to demonstrate tact, initiative, resourcefulness, professional manner, enthusiasm and a non-judgmental attitude. Other Duties Include, but are not limited to, promotion and advertisement of therapeutic services through blogs, Instagram and Facebook posts, and networking opportunities with fellow professionals.'
