Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our growing behavioral health team. The ideal candidate must hold a current and active LMHC license in the state of practice and be fully bilingual in English and Spanish to effectively serve our diverse patient population. In this role, you will provide high-quality psychotherapy and counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities. You will utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help clients overcome mental health challenges, improve emotional well-being, and achieve their treatment goals while working in a collaborative and patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, clinical evaluations, and diagnostic interviews. Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs. Provide individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy using evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other appropriate interventions. Perform crisis intervention and risk assessments to ensure patient safety. Provide counseling for patients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, substance use disorders, behavioral disorders, chronic stress, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and other mental health conditions. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards. Utilize ICD-10 diagnostic coding and maintain complete patient records. Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, coping strategies, and available community resources. Provide telehealth services when appropriate. Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with state licensing requirements and organizational policies. Required Qualifications Current and active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in the state of practice (Required). Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish (Required). Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution. Minimum of one (1) year of clinical counseling experience preferred. Experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, crisis management, and behavioral health treatment planning. Experience with ICD-10 diagnosis and electronic medical records (EMR). Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Telehealth experience is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in outpatient behavioral health or community mental health settings. Experience treating patients with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Familiarity with CPT coding and insurance documentation requirements.
