This role focuses on delivering structured, therapeutic interventions in a group setting to support emotional regulation, behavioral stability, and social skill development. The ideal candidate is experienced in working with youth presenting with behavioral challenges, including ADHD, oppositional behaviors, trauma-related symptoms, and emotional dysregulation. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake interviews and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately document clinical findings. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Provide direct support through individual and group counseling sessions focused on mental health counseling, social work principles, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and gender issues counseling. Facilitate crisis intervention and crisis management strategies to ensure client safety during acute episodes or behavioral crises. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts, medical documentation, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality. Engage in clinical research activities and data collection to evaluate treatment outcomes and improve service delivery. Apply behavioral management techniques and social skills training tailored for children, adolescents, adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or geriatrics. Maintain accurate medical terminology documentation and ensure all services are aligned with CPT coding standards for billing purposes. Experience Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Prior experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or in outpatient/inpatient behavioral health settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA). Hands-on experience with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic documentation; experience with medical records management preferred. Telehealth experience is advantageous; ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for virtual platforms is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and behavioral health treatments. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
