Job Description

The Seminole Tribe of Florida's Center for Behavioral Health department is a CARF accredited mental and behavioral health outpatient provider for adults, adolescents and children. CBH provides a comprehensive array of behavioral health services including: substance abuse and mental health therapy, psychiatric services for children and adults, psychological services for children and adults, crisis intervention and stabilization, case management, prevention initiatives year-round and a 24 hour on call service to the tribal communities. The staff schedule is full-time in-person Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, however flexibility is needed for community events as well as being part of an on-call rotation for after-hours.

//www.semtribe.com/services/health-and-human-services The Brighton Reservation is located at 17201 Civic St. Okeechobee, FL 34974 which is in the southern outskirts of Okeechobee, closer towards the direction of Lakeport and Moore Haven. If your commute is more than 40 miles one way, then you may qualify for a fuel stipend. Position Summary The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing in-depth individual counseling services to Tribal children and youth in areas including co-occurring disorders, psychiatric disorders, domestic violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, alcohol abuse and/or drug abuse within the Center for Behavioral Health program of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Work involves the application of a variety of advanced mental health service delivery skills (e.g., therapeutic interventions, diagnostic/assessment techniques, etc.). Additionally, work may encompass the use of group methodologies and skill training within established policies and procedures. Employees in this class perform duties with some autonomy; makes independent judgments within established policies and procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, or Family Therapy is required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a behavioral health field, including experience working with multi-diagnosed individuals (e.g. mental health disorders/substance dependence-related conditions); family systems and/or community-based treatments is required. Florida State License as Mental Health Counselor (MHC) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Family Therapist (MFT) is required. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License. Ability to exemplify the highest level of professional standards/ethics and demonstrate appropriate and culturally sensitive service delivery and community based treatment. Candidates in this position may eligible be to participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Note:

This position is based on the Brighton Reservation which is at 17201 Civic St. Okeechobee, FL 34974. The schedule is fully in-person Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm plus an on-call rotation. It's a Tribal-Wide role so you would also have some day travel to other Reservations including Hollywood, Immokalee, and Clewiston which we'll factor into your work schedule and you can use one of our tribal vehicles to get there.
