Job Description

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Saint Petersburg, FL 33701 $100
  • $150 an hour
  • Full-time $100
  • $150 an hour
Full-time Job Overview Location:
I am a small Private Practice owner located in the heart of Downtown Saint Petersburg who is looking for another LMHC to work in the office as their own private practitioner. Additional details and photos of the office can be seen here: https://authenticwellbeingllc.
com/ Who should apply:
I am a Qualified supervisor, but I am not interested in taking on any interns at this time unless the intern is capable of 1. paying for the office space regardless of caseload, and 2. building a caseload without being in a crunch for hours. You will need to specify if that works for you in your cover letter. If not, your application will be rejected. This is essentially an opportunity for a Licensed practitioner to run their portion of this private practice instead of doing agency work. You can set your own rates per hour and the number of hours you work. You must be either a LMHC or LMFT. I am not hiring Social Workers or interns right now unless the intern agrees to the info already stated. I am looking for someone with at least 3 years of clinical experience that is self-motivated and ready to be in private practice.
Your space and costs:
The sub-leased office you would use is partially furnished with chairs, a couch, main and side tables, a desk, and a built in book shelf. The space is approximately 15x20 feet (LARGE) with an 8x4 foot window overlooking mirror lake. The shared waiting area is 15x10 feet and is fully furnished and equipped with coffee, water delivery service, and seating. The entire suite is located in a 3 story business plaza right off Central Ave. The first month would be rent-free for you to start out. The second month would be $550.00. And the third month would be the standard full amount of $1,100.00 for the office and shared private waiting room. This is laid out in order to ease the stress of starting at a private practice and gives a clinician 2 months to start building their client caseload. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Deliver individual therapy sessions employing evidence-based approaches such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic EMDR, Enneagram, Hypnosis, etc. Facilitate intake appointments to gather comprehensive patient histories and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical best practices. Maintain meticulous medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records. Manage your own schedule. Manage your own financials. Pay for a sub-leased office space Requirements Valid state Florida licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Proven experience in psychotherapy, crisis management, addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health. Experience delivering telehealth services using secure platforms to expand access to care. Skilled in various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, social work principles, behavior management techniques, and special education strategies. Ability to handle sensitive situations involving trauma or gender issues counseling with empathy and professionalism. Excellent communication skills for conducting intake assessments and engaging patients across age groups—children through geriatrics—in outpatient or inpatient settings. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for safeguarding patient information and medical records management. Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessment, case management, data collection for clinical research projects, and support patients through chronic pain or behavioral challenges. Join us in making a difference by providing compassionate mental health services that empower individuals on their journey toward wellness!
