INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR
This is an independent contractor/business opportunity and does not establish an employee/employer relationship. Will receive
IRS 1099
form and will be responsible for own withholding taxes. Mental Health Counselor (Spanish speaking preferred)
CONTRACTUAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides clinical mental health services to Children and Families in Palm Beach County. TASKS Provides direct clinical mental health services to Children and Families of Palm Beach County who meet the criteria for Therapeutic Behavioral On-Site (TBOS), Individual/Family Therapy and group services. Services are provided in office and/or on-site. Assesses the clients' therapeutic needs. Develops Prior Authorization requests for services when required by Medicaid/HMO. Develops treatment planning and reviewing. Monitors progress towards goals, re-assesses needs and upgrades treatment planning. Develops progress summaries as required by contractual agreement with funding sources. Seeks clinical consultation. Documents clinical sessions following Medicaid-HMO and other contractual agreements. Completes forms required by the program (progress notes, discharge summaries, attendance forms, and any other program-specific documents) Submits to Program supervisor documentation and fee for services (billing) on Mondays. The documentation must cover the prior week of services. Must follow Prior Authorization instructions for number of sessions, frequency, and allowed length of services. Follows HIPPA confidentiality requirements Follows data security requirements. Follows abuse reporting procedures Follows Agency policies and procedures. Fulfill in-service training requirements per Medicaid Community Behavioral Health Services Coverage and Limitations Handbook and/or other contracts. Carries a cell-phone for availability to clients, office staff and other contacts in the community.
