Job Description

There is a place for you at Highland Rivers Behavioral Health! Highland Rivers provides treatment and recovery services to individuals impacted by mental illness; substance use disorders and intellectual developmental disabilities.
Job Summary:
The Substance Use Intensive Outpatient Program (SUIOP) helps individuals learn how to manage life issues and day-to- day living without the use of mood- or mind-altering substances or drugs. Program services promote recovery, self-sufficiency, development of support networks and other important life skills to enhance mental health and reduce the risk of needing inpatient treatment. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conducting intensive outpatient (IOP) groups, individual counseling and psychoeducation.
  • Follow established guidelines in Addictive Disease Program Plan.
  • Individual counseling as clinically indicated.
  • Complete Behavioral Health Assessments (BHA's) /Service Plan Development (SPD's), and all other supporting assessments, including UDS, & documentation for individuals affiliated with Cherokee SUOP.
  • Follow-up calls with referrals and participation in Treatment/consultation/clinical team meetings.
  • Complete monthly Treatment Plan reviews and discharge/transition person's served, as clinically indicated.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program clinician conducting monthly audits for IOP staff. (As Needed)
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Addictive Disease Operations, AD Regional Manager(s), as needed to meet expanding needs of individuals served.
