Position Purpose:
Join Mercy Care Atlanta as a Social Worker (Senior Behavioral Health Specialist), where you'll provide compassionate, comprehensive behavioral health services. Under the guidance of the Coordinator of Behavioral Health Services, you will enhance patient care through psychosocial assessments, therapy, and consultation. Your role will be pivotal in improving psychosocial functioning and providing integrated care within an interdisciplinary team.
What You Will Do:
Perform psychosocial assessments and create treatment plans. Provide counseling, therapy, and education to patients. Execute involuntary commitment orders and manage crisis situations. Offer face-to-face linkage and ongoing case management services. Collaborate with primary care teams to develop care management processes. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and community health events. Educate patients, families, and staff on behavioral health care and prevention. Provide clinical guidance and support to the behavioral health services team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in human services or a related field with LAPC, LMSW,LPC, LMFT, or LCSW licensure. At least five years of experience in mental health/substance abuse recovery services. Proficiency in psychosocial assessments and documentation. Valid Georgia Driver's License and reliable transportation. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting. Bilingualproficiency in Spanish stronglypreferred.
