Job Description

Odyssey Family Counseling Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate licensed Clinician to join our Adult Services team, with a focus on maternal mental health and adult behavioral health services. This position is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about supporting adults navigating substance use, trauma, life transitions, and perinatal mental health challenges through evidence-based, client-centered care. The selected candidate will provide therapeutic services within our Maternal Mental Health Program, supporting pregnant and postpartum individuals experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. The role requires strong clinical judgment, trauma-informed care practices, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment environment.
Program Focus:
Maternal Mental Health The Maternal Mental Health Program provides comprehensive clinical assessments, individual therapy, and therapeutic group services for pregnant and postpartum clients experiencing emotional and behavioral health concerns. Clinicians in this role utilize evidence-based interventions to promote emotional wellness, strengthen family stability, and improve long-term outcomes for parents and children. Responsibilities Conduct trauma-informed biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations for adult clients. Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and motivational interviewing. Provide individual and group counseling services for adults experiencing mental health, substance use, and perinatal-related challenges. Support clients involved in court-mandated treatment and recovery-focused services when applicable. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and agency standards. Collaborate with medical providers, case managers, and community partners to coordinate care and support positive client outcomes. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and clinical case consultation. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and all licensing regulations. Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field from an accredited college or university. Current Georgia licensure as a Psychologist, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or associate-level equivalent eligible for clinical practice. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or addiction counseling. Experience working with adult populations required. Demonstrated knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery principles, and behavioral health treatment interventions. Experience in maternal mental health, trauma-informed care, or perinatal treatment strongly preferred. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and community-based providers. Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience using the CareLogic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Credentialed with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance panels. CAQH profile completed by date of hire. Active NPI number by date of hire. Additional Requirements Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening. No grievances or disciplinary actions with state licensing boards, Medicaid, or Medicare. Schedule & Compensation Full-time position Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week (schedule may vary based on program needs) Salary commensurate with experience and licensure level
