About Us Preferred Behavioral Health Agency is a growing behavioral health organization dedicated to empowering children, adolescents, adults, and families through compassionate, person-centered mental health services. We are seeking dedicated Behavioral Health Counselors (PSR/BST/QMHP) to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. Position Summary The Behavioral Health Counselor will provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) and Behavioral Skills Training (BST) services to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral health challenges. Services are provided primarily in community, home, school, and clinic settings. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals develop coping skills, improve daily functioning, build independence, and achieve treatment goals. Responsibilities Provide PSR and BST services in accordance with individualized treatment plans Teach coping skills, communication skills, emotional regulation, social skills, and independent living skills Assist clients in developing community integration and self-sufficiency Maintain timely and accurate documentation, progress notes, and service records Collaborate with licensed clinicians, families, schools, and community providers Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical supervision Ensure compliance with Georgia Medicaid, DBHDD, and agency requirements
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a related field Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred:
