Our outpatient programs provide compassionate, evidence-based treatment for individuals struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. We are seeking a dynamic and engaging PRN Group Facilitator to support our growing outpatient services in East Cobb. We are looking for someone to cover 4-5 groups a week, including some evenings. Position Summary The PRN Group Facilitator is responsible for leading psychoeducational and process groups for adults participating in outpatient substance use and mental health treatment programs. This position provides coverage as needed and is ideal for professionals seeking flexible scheduling while making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals in recovery. The successful candidate will be comfortable facilitating groups, engaging clients in discussion, and maintaining a therapeutic environment that promotes healing, accountability, and personal growth. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGroup Facilitation Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups for clients in outpatient treatment programs. Present topics related to recovery, relapse prevention, coping skills, emotional wellness, communication, life skills, and mental health management. Encourage client participation and maintain a supportive, respectful group environment. Manage group dynamics effectively and address disruptive behaviors appropriately. Promote recovery-oriented thinking and healthy lifestyle changes. Documentation & Compliance Complete group notes, attendance records, and required documentation accurately and within established timelines. Maintain compliance with
HIPAA, 42 CFR
Part 2, Joint Commission standards, and organizational policies. Communicate significant client concerns or safety issues to clinical leadership promptly. Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with counselors, case managers, and other treatment team members. Attend meetings and trainings as assigned. Support continuity of care and treatment planning efforts. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Experience working in behavioral health, substance use treatment, social services, healthcare, education, peer support, or a related field. Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Basic computer proficiency and ability to complete electronic documentation. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, Education, or related field. Experience facilitating groups in a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting. Certified Peer Specialist (CPS), Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC), or other relevant certification. Knowledge of recovery principles, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care. Schedule PRN / As Needed Flexible scheduling Coverage for daytime, evening, and occasional weekend groups as needed Hours vary based on program census and staffing needs Ideal Candidate Passionate about helping individuals achieve recovery and wellness. Comfortable speaking in front of groups and facilitating discussion. Dependable, flexible, and self-motivated. Able to establish rapport quickly and maintain professional boundaries.
