Job Description

Job Summary Balanced Living Counseling Center is seeking compassionate, competent, and dedicated mental health professionals to join our growing team. We are currently hiring licensed counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists who are committed to providing high-quality behavioral health services and are interested in transitioning to a full-time caseload within six months of joining our practice. Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Deliver crisis intervention and crisis management to stabilize clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or emergencies. Implement motivational interviewing techniques to enhance client engagement and promote positive behavioral change. Manage clinical documentation with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate recording of client care, medical records, and progress notes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Facilitate specialized counseling for populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, chronic pain conditions, addiction issues, gender identity concerns, and geriatrics. Conduct intake assessments utilizing ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services remotely while maintaining high-quality patient care. Engage in clinical research activities when applicable to stay current with emerging best practices in behavioral health treatment. Qualifications Valid licensure as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or Psychologist with active Georgia certification in good standing. Proven experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient or inpatient settings with diverse populations. Strong knowledge of mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, substance use disorders, and grief counseling. Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, CPT coding for billing purposes, and ICD coding for diagnoses. Familiarity with crisis management protocols and behavior management strategies in clinical settings. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and foster trust with clients of all ages. Knowledge of terminology related to behavioral health and experience maintaining HIPAA-compliant records. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Prior telehealth experience is preferred; willingness to adapt to evolving technology platforms is essential.
