The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic support to individuals and families, utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques to promote mental health and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Duties Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and DBT Therapy. Provide crisis intervention and management for clients in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans. Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients' personal growth and development. Facilitate family counseling sessions, addressing dynamics that impact mental health. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-10 coding. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with complex needs, including those with developmental disabilities. Provide telehealth services as needed, adapting therapeutic approaches for virtual environments. Offer support for patients dealing with grief, PTSD, addiction, or behavioral challenges through specialized counseling techniques. Skills Candidates should possess a diverse skill set that includes: Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Management, and Behavioral Therapy. Experience working with children, families, and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Familiarity with mental health terminology, patient assessment protocols, and medical records management. Knowledge of special populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals facing gender and spiritual issues. Strong background in case management and direct support services within inpatient or outpatient settings (helpful, not required). Ability to conduct intake assessments effectively, in addition to providing accurate diagnoses, while ensuring compliance with relevant coding practices (ICD coding). Experience in group therapy settings and providing clinical counseling tailored to individual needs.
