Job Description

Job Overview Embark on a rewarding journey as a Mental Health Counseling Intern, where you will gain hands-on experience supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges and addiction. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in therapeutic techniques, collaborate with licensed professionals, and contribute to creating a compassionate environment for clients. You will assist in implementing therapeutic activities, conducting assessments, and supporting treatment plans that promote mental well-being and resilience. Duties Assist in conducting client assessments and gathering relevant psychosocial information Contribute to case documentation, progress notes, and treatment planning under supervision Help organize group therapy sessions and community outreach programs Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards while working with sensitive client information Requirements Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in psychology, social work, counseling, or related fields Strong interest in mental health and/or addiction realted topics Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and convey information clearly Demonstrated motivation to learn about diverse mental health approaches and interventions Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment Prior experience in an abstinance-based addiction recovery environment is a plus but not required Commitment to maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times Join us as a Mental Health Intern and be part of an inspiring team dedicated to making a positive impact on lives through compassionate care and innovative approaches!
Pay:
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.0 - 20.0 per week
