Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention therapy using modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and promote positive behavioral change. Manage cases involving special populations including children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, grief counseling needs, addiction issues, geriatrics, and gender-related counseling. Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards; maintain detailed medical records and progress notes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance treatment efficacy and contribute to best practices within behavioral health services. Continuing education trainings through Relias paid by employer. Skills Experience in psychotherapy techniques such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, social work practices, and crisis management strategies. Proficiency in working with children and adolescents in outpatient or inpatient settings; familiarity with special education protocols is a plus. Skilled in crisis intervention and behavior management strategies for individuals experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma-related issues. Experience with telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions; adept at managing patient assessments via virtual environments. Ability to handle complex cases involving PTSD care, grief support, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. Excellent communication skills for intake interviews, patient education, documentation accuracy, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
