Job Description

Position Description:
Provides necessary Psychosocial Rehab and Community Support services to designated PSR clients. The goal of these services is to transition individuals to a state of independence. Essential functions of this position in PSR are:
  • Provides skills training and counseling to clients as appropriate
  • Participates in socialization activities with clients
  • Provides interactions intended to result in improving and/or maintaining the client's ability to function in identified areas
  • Provides transportation for clients as needed and appropriate
  • Documents all activities in clinical files
  • Works in conjunction with PSR staff and BH Director to ensure compliance with treatment plans and program requirements

  • Leads daily group
  • Other duties as assigned by
Director Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Psychology or related field or 5 years of mental health experience
  • Meets the requirements for Mental Health Professional according to Rule 132
Additional Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Requires good driving skills and driving record
  • Requires the ability to provide positive role model for clients
  • Requires demonstrated skills in the field of service
  • Requires demonstrated ability to work constructively with clients, other providers and the community
  • Requires understanding and ability to put into practice applicable agency policies and procedures
  • Requires on-going education in psychosocial rehabilitation
Physical Requirements:
  • Extended periods of sitting / time spent at office desk
  • Extended periods of standing
  • Must be able to communicate with clients, co-workers, contract personnel and companies, community members, transportation providers, guardians, health providers
  • Must be able to complete required documentation
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work in office environment
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout the offices within your assigned department and within health department
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Must be able to complete assigned job duties
