You'll be in charge of doing diagnostic evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans with goals and objectives, offering crisis intervention when needed, and following up with patients to ensure they're getting the best care possible. The ideal applicant will have 1-3 years of clinical experience treating mental health patients and a current LMHC license (licensed mental health counselor). Compensation:
$60 - $85 hourly based on billing
Responsibilities:
Monitor each patient situation on a frequent basis and offer the appropriate follow-up care Use patient medical information, interviews, observation, and testing as well as collaboration with other staff members to determine a patient's mental health status Aid with crisis intervention for patients when they are in a state of distress Develop specific therapy plans with goals and objectives for individual patients Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary Conduct and interpret psychological evaluations for clients and their families Provide counseling and psychotherapy services to achieve treatment goals, reduce symptoms, and improve functioning Document care and consult with supervisors regarding care decisions on a regular basis
Qualifications:
Licensure in the state you reside as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or the equivalent is required 1-3 years in a clinical setting working with mental health patients is required Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, or related field; preference to those with a master's degree Requires CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications Independent licensure or close to sitting for exam - LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PSYD, etc Must have at least a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology About Company A New Day Family Counseling believes in healing hearts, growing minds, and restoring relationships.
