We are seeking a licensed, master's-prepared mental health clinician (LCSW, LPC, or LCPC) who values meaningful relationships, emotional intelligence, and thoughtful clinical work. Our practice is especially well-suited for clinicians who feel called to work deeply with women, children, and families—and who are ready to transition into a private practice-style setting that offers both autonomy and genuine support. At Luminary, we believe healing happens best in environments that are calm, intentional, and human. We prioritize sustainable caseloads, collaborative care, and a culture that supports the clinician as much as the client. About the Role This position focuses on outpatient psychotherapy (not medical social work) within a small, connected team. Clinicians have flexibility in shaping their schedules, clinical focus, and professional goals while benefiting from a steady referral stream and strong administrative support. You'll have space to bring or build specialties —such as women's emotional health, child and adolescent therapy, trauma-informed care, family systems, or parent support—that align with your interests and Luminary's mission. Responsibilities Provide high-quality outpatient psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and/or families Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations using DSM-5 standards Develop thoughtful, individualized treatment plans rooted in client-centered and evidence-based care Practice within modalities aligned with your strengths (CBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, play therapy, family systems, etc.) Maintain timely and accurate documentation within our EMR system Collaborate with fellow clinicians through consultation, case discussion, and team connection Participate in occasional team meetings and trainings that support growth and cohesion Respond appropriately to crisis situations within the outpatient scope of care Optionally contribute to program development, groups, workshops, or service expansion Engage in ongoing professional development—continued learning is encouraged and valued Experience & Qualifications Active Illinois licensure: LCSW, LPC, or LCPC (or nearing full licensure with strong outpatient experience) Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field Experience providing outpatient therapy using evidence-based approaches Comfort working with emotional concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, family stress, and identity development Strong clinical judgment, relational presence, and emotional attunement Ability to work independently while valuing collaboration and team support Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and compassionate care Why Luminary Counseling Solutions? Joining Luminary means joining a practice that values depth over volume and presence over productivity .
