JOB SUMMARY
Under the umbrella of Court Administration, the Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) Program is a structured form of community-based mental health care designed for individuals with severe mental illness who require intensive support but do not meet criteria for in patient hospitalization. The AOT clinician will aim to ensure that individuals receive the necessary treatment and support while living in the community thereby reducing the likelihood of relapses, hospitalization, or involvement with the criminal justice system.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Engage and support clients who have histories of non-compliance with behavioral health treatment recommendations. Implement treatment plans by linking participants to addition, mental health, and social, vocational, educational and/or other community resources. Maintains clear, concise, and timely records of client progress and movement within the court and service providers system. Develops and maintains positive relationships with referral sources and other community agencies. Collaborate with community treatment providers and AOT Team. Provide clinical case management. Regular appointments with AOT participants, monitor progress and update treatment plan as needed. Maintain relationship with treatment providers in the community to ensure continuity of care for clients. Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education and Experience:
Master's degree in clinical psychology or social work, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' clinical experience with direct client contact. Must have experience filing a petition for inpatient treatment and knowing the criteria required for involuntary hospitalization. Crisis experience
Licenses and Certifications:
LCPC or
