1 Position Summary The intern will provide therapeutic services to clients of all populations. They will collaborate closely with their supervisor to learn and expand their professional development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Lives out the INcompass Healthcare promise by consistently displaying compassion, treating all with dignity, and providing exceptional care for everyone. Incorporates the six principles of trauma informed care throughout all aspects of their work. Provide therapeutic services appropriate within the scope of the internship. Attend group and individual supervision meetings weekly and promptly and with an openness to learning and receiving feedback. Interact with a professional and ethical manner. Plan, implement, evaluate, and report activities conducted. Acts as a client advocate and empowers them in their treatment. Coordinates communication and services provided by internal and external programs and agencies. Complies with documentation requirements according to agency policies. Completes administrative tasks, such as attending training, meetings, serving on committees as assigned, engaging in supervision as identified and according to policy. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) In a program for Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or other mental health related field. Knowledge and basic skills related to their scope of practice within their internship. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish rapport with others as a requisite for healthy and therapeutic relationships Ability to present oneself in an appropriately personable and professional manner to clients, community partners, and internal staff. Ability to receive and utilize constructive feedback regarding performance, presentation, and relationships with others Ability to remain calm, supportive and professional in psychological emergencies and/or crises Knowledge of professional ethical standards and a commitment to keeping and working within these ethical standards. Demonstrates sensitivity to cultural differences.
