Job Description

As a Lead Counselor at our Martinsville, Indiana location, you will provide clinical leadership and guidance to the counseling team while maintaining a personal caseload. This role plays a critical part in supporting the quality and effectiveness of counseling services through oversight of treatment delivery, implementation of clinical initiatives, and professional development of counseling teammates. The Lead Counselor may also provide coverage for the Clinical Director when needed. Benefits 18 days Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) with company match Company‑sponsored ongoing training and certification opportunities Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, and accident insurance Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) Discounted tuition and scholarship opportunities through Capella University Requirements Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited college or university Active licensure in the state of Indiana as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Minimum of three (3) years of experience in substance use treatment or a related behavioral health field Preferred Qualifications Post‑Master's training in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field Five (5) years of experience in counseling or case management Responsibilities Maintain a personal caseload of approximately twelve (12) patients Complete all required clinical documentation accurately and timely, including treatment plans, progress notes, ASAM assessments, biopsychosocials, discharge summaries, and group or individual therapy notes Ensure patients are assessed and placed into appropriate levels of care in accordance with state and federal guidelines Provide individual, group, and family counseling services as outlined in patients' individual treatment plans Support development and implementation of treatment initiatives and clinical programming Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary treatment team, including collaboration with Utilization Management, Clinical Coordinator, and Clinical Director to ensure UM requirements are met Arrange referrals and provide community resources to support patient recovery Ensure all required patient documentation is collected and maintained within regulated timeframes Submit required statistical data and reports as needed Provide leadership support and coverage for teammates as scheduled Assist with administrative tasks as required Lead or participate in treatment team discussions Report relevant patient and operational updates impacting treatment or facility operations Model compassionate, recovery‑oriented care and support patient engagement and progress Attend required meetings and complete all training in a timely manner Perform other duties as assigned Join our team.
