Therapist CIC (Licensed)

Responsibilities The Therapist is a member of the CIC team and will provide immediate, short-term behavioral health assessment, intervention, and stabilization services to individuals experiencing acute psychological crises. This role involves rapid evaluation of risk, development of safety plans, crisis counseling, coordination of care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure client safety and continuity of services. If there are periods when your primary responsibilities are limited, you may be asked to assist in other areas as needed to support overall operations, regardless of your specific role. This position requires staff to work some holidays and will be rotated among the disciplines. Position Qualification This position must meet Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).-Master's in Psychology (LMLP or LCP), Counseling (LPC, LCPC), or Social Work (LMSW, LSCSW) Experience with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and/or chemical dependency, and experience working with individuals who are homeless. Must have current Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board license and meet eligibility of Title XIX reimbursement and other 3rd party insurances. Experience with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and crisis case management preferred. Must be 21 years of age or older Must have a valid Kansas driver's license, access to reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. Must have good command of the English language; must be able to read, communicate clearly and therapeutically with person's served and staff, both verbally and in writing, in a professional manner. Must be proficient at basic computer skills, keyboarding and word processing skills Must be able to pass criminal background check and DCF Child & Adult Abuse Registry check. Assignment at the CIC requires pre-employment physical, drug screening, flu immunization and TB screening prior to starting any position. All must be completed or in process/scheduled to be cleared for new hire orientation. Annual flu vaccinations and bi-annual TB screening are required. Must be able to complete required KsTrain online trainings and program trainings.
