Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Counselor to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and treatment plans Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health episodes effectively and ensure client safety Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology coordination when appropriate and monitor progress through detailed medical documentation Engage in case management activities including patient assessment, data collection, research participation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Provide specialized counseling for issues such as addiction, grief, PTSD care, gender identity concerns, chronic pain management, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding medical records and ensuring confidentiality in all patient interactions Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling services while maintaining high standards of patient care and engagement Experience Proven experience in clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is highly desirable Strong background in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and social work practices Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) and managing complex cases involving mental health disorders such as PTSD or addiction Skilled in crisis management techniques for managing behavioral crises and providing immediate support during emergencies Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling; experience documenting patient care in accordance with HIPAA standards Knowledge of special education needs and working within multidisciplinary teams to support patients' holistic well-being Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms with a focus on patient engagement and confidentiality Join our team as a Clinical Counselor where your expertise will directly impact lives! $54,029.96 - $65,068.34 per year
