Job Description

Job Summary Kentucky Recovery Center is seeking compassionate, motivated, and skilled Therapists to join our growing behavioral health and substance abuse treatment team. The Therapist will provide individual, group, and family counseling services while assisting clients in achieving recovery goals and maintaining long-term wellness. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals overcome substance use and mental health challenges, possesses strong clinical skills, and thrives in a collaborative treatment environment. Duties Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and clinical evaluations Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record Complete treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required clinical documentation Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings Collaborate with medical, nursing, case management, and support staff Assist with discharge planning and aftercare recommendations Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, accreditation standards, and company policies Participate in clinical supervision, training, and professional development activities Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilites Knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and evidence-based treatment practices Strong assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to establish therapeutic rapport and maintain professional boundaries Strong organizational and documentation abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Proficiency with electronic health records and computer systems Qualifications Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required Kentucky licensure or license eligibility preferred (LPCA, LPC, CSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPAT, or equivalent) Experience working in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, mental health, or residential treatment preferred Knowledge of ASAM criteria and substance use treatment practices preferred Ability to pass background screening and drug screening
