Job Type:

Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off Professional Development Opportunities Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our behavioral health team within a correctional healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health services, including assessments, therapy, crisis intervention, and care coordination for individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. Essential ResponsibilitiesTherapeutic Services Provide individual and group counseling services tailored to patients' mental health needs. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other clinically appropriate interventions. Assessments and Evaluations Conduct psychosocial assessments and mental health intake evaluations. Identify mental health conditions and develop appropriate treatment recommendations. Perform risk assessments and implement interventions to ensure patient safety. Crisis Intervention Respond to mental health emergencies utilizing crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. Collaborate with healthcare and correctional staff to address urgent behavioral health concerns. Care Coordination Develop, initiate, and maintain individualized treatment plans. Coordinate care and discharge planning for patients transitioning back to the community. Facilitate referrals and continuity of care with community-based behavioral health providers. Team Collaboration Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations. Provide behavioral health expertise to clinical and correctional personnel. Assist in the development and implementation of clinical programs and initiatives. Documentation and Compliance Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation. Prepare reports and treatment records in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Adhere to infection control procedures and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Additional Duties Participate in staff training, orientation, and professional development activities. Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations. QualificationsEducation Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related Mental Health discipline. Licensure Current, unrestricted state licensure as one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Licensed Psychologist Certifications Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Experience Previous counseling or behavioral health experience required. Correctional healthcare experience preferred but not required.
