Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. Duties Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately determine client needs. Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual client goals. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on issues like grief, trauma (including PTSD), addiction, gender identity, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and chronic pain management. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, special education staff, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively for accurate record keeping. Engage in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance treatment outcomes and contribute to ongoing mental health studies. Requirements Valid state licensure as an LPC or LPCC with demonstrated experience in clinical counseling settings. Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed care. Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, and diverse populations. Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and social work principles. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance. Knowledge of telehealth platforms and experience delivering remote counseling services preferred. Ability to handle sensitive situations involving PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, chronic pain management, and gender issues counseling with professionalism and empathy. Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient care planning, case management activities, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
