Job Description

Job Summary Compassion Pediatrics is seeking a compassionate, faith-integrated Pediatric Counselor to join our growing Behavioral Health team. We are looking for a licensed counselor who is passionate about helping children, adolescents, and families thrive emotionally, mentally, and spiritually while providing evidence-based counseling services within a Christian-centered practice.

This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality behavioral health services while integrating Christian values and faith-based principles when desired and appropriate for the patient and family. Our mission is to support the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—through compassionate, family-centered care. Position Responsibilities Provide individual counseling services for children and adolescents.

Conduct behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

Collaborate closely with pediatric providers to coordinate patient care.

Provide parent education, coaching, and family support.

Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.

Participate in multidisciplinary care team meetings.
Support children and families experiencing:
Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Behavioral challenges, Trauma and adverse childhood experiences, Grief and loss, Life transitions and family stressors Incorporate faith-integrated counseling approaches when requested and clinically appropriate. Promote a caring, Christ-centered environment while respecting the beliefs, backgrounds, and preferences of all patients and families. Assist in the development of pediatric behavioral health programs, support groups, and community outreach initiatives.
Preferred Areas of Interest:
Candidates with experience or interest in any of the following are encouraged to apply:
Faith-Integrated Counseling, Pediatric Mental Health, Autism-Informed Counseling, Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy, Parent Coaching, Trauma-Informed Care, Play Therapy, EMDR, Social Skills Groups, Group Therapy Programming Qualifications :
LPCA, LPC, CSW, LCSW, or other eligible Kentucky behavioral health licensure. Experience working with children and adolescents preferred, strong communication, relationship-building, and counseling skills. Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated pediatric medical setting.
