Outpatient experience Working with children Dancing Medical terminology Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans. Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and art or dance therapy as appropriate. Implement specialized interventions for clients with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, or chronic pain conditions. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to refine therapeutic techniques and improve service delivery. Facilitate intake assessments via telehealth or in-person settings while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards. Skills Proficiency in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral management, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and evidence-based practices. Strong experience in crisis management, crisis intervention, behavior management techniques, and social work principles. Expertise working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and medical records management. Excellent clinical documentation skills aligned with healthcare standards; experience with telehealth therapy platforms is highly desirable. Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations for mental health conditions including PTSD care and gender issues counseling. Knowledge of special education needs related to mental health support; experience working within inpatient or outpatient settings is a plus.
