The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic support, develop individualized care plans, and assist clients in managing mental health challenges. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals' lives by fostering recovery, resilience, and well-being. The position requires a strong understanding of diverse mental health issues and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Position Duties :
Provide strength-based, solution-focused therapeutic services in the community. Develop a thorough understanding of clients, including their strengths, diagnoses, treatment goals, and treatment plans. Participate in collaborative meetings with Rehabilitation Services staff and other agencies or community supports as needed. Regularly communicate clients' statuses, including changes in mood, functioning, medical issues, crises, and health and safety concerns. Submit notes promptly according to policy. Document all "no shows" and report difficulties contacting clients to the appropriate office staff. Attend all office trainings and participate in regular clinical supervision sessions with the Clinical Manager and/or Team Manager.
Work Schedule :
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; On-call as needed.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in counseling, social work, psychology, sociology, rehabilitation services, special education, early childhood education, secondary education, family and consumer sciences, criminal justice, or human growth and development. At least two (2) years of experience working with adults and children who have severe mental illness and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, or chronic health conditions. Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery-driven service systems. Must possess a valid Louisiana Driver's License and appropriate state and federal clearances.
