The Arlington Youth Counseling Center (AYCC) is a welcoming and inclusive community mental health center and the leading provider of outpatient and school-based mental health services for Arlington youth and their families. AYCC offers individual and family counseling, group therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management to Arlington youth, ages 3-21, and their adult caregivers. AYCC is committed to ensuring that all community youth and families have access to culturally sensitive and high-quality care, regardless of their ability to pay. Additionally, we strive to identify and address racial and systemic inequities that impact youth mental health and access to mental health services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and family counseling for children, adolescents, and their adult family members/caregivers. Counseling may be clinic- or school-based, and/or via telehealth. Develop strengths-based and solution focused treatment plans that reflect identified needs and measurable goals of treatment. Complete timely and thorough documentation, utilizing AYCC's EHR system, in accordance with AYCC policy, insurance requirements, and State regulations. Attend regular clinical supervision, as well as staff meetings and in-service trainings as required by AYCC administrators.
Qualifications:
A Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related mental health field from an accredited program Licensed by a MA State Board (LCSW/LICSW/LMHC/etc.), or actively working towards licensure One to three years clinical experience with children, adolescents, and families Excellent clinical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills Experience using an electronic medical records system, or a willingness to learn CANS certification, or a willingness to become CANS certified Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
