As featured in the New York Times, The Mountain Valley Treatment Center is a nationally recognized residential program specializing in short-term treatment for adolescents with anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. Located along the Connecticut River in Plainfield, NH, our campus offers a warm, home-like setting designed to support meaningful therapeutic change. We integrate evidence-based practices such as CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) with experiential and recreational therapies. Our interdisciplinary team—including clinicians, psychiatry, occupational therapy, nursing, and residential staff—works collaboratively to help clients build resilience, rediscover strengths, and reengage with life. Position:
Full-Time In-Person Anxiety & OCD Clinician Location:
Plainfield, New Hampshire (In-Person)
Compensation and Benefits:
Unlicensed clinicians: starting at $70,000 with $1500 annual professional development budget for continuing education. Clinical supervision provided by NH Board Approved Supervisor for licensure.
Licensed clinicians:
$85,000-$90,000 annually with $2500 annual professional development budget for continuing education 3% annual performance bonus based on the program's achievement of yearly census goals Medical, Dental, Vision, and 403(b) Retirement Plan Life Insurance, AD&D, Short- and Long-Term Disability 4+ weeks of paid time off in the first year Sponsored opportunities to attend and present at leading conferences (ADAA, IOCDF, ABCT, NATSAP, IECA)
Overview:
Mountain Valley Treatment Center is seeking a full-time Clinician to join our specialized residential program serving adolescents and young adults with anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. This is an in-person position based in Plainfield, NH, offering a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care within a highly collaborative and supportive environment. This role is ideal for clinicians passionate about exposure-based therapies and working closely with families in an immersive treatment setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual, group, and family therapy to a caseload of 3-5 residents during a typical 90-120 day stay Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans Deliver evidence-based interventions including CBT, ERP, ACT, and DBT Coordinate care with internal team members and external providers Communicate effectively with families and collateral contacts Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to support comprehensive client care
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling or Clinical Social Work required Experience with CBT and exposure-based therapies strongly preferred Licensed (or license-eligible) in New Hampshire preferred Experience working with adolescents, young adults, and families preferred Residential or higher level of care experience is a plus Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills The Mountain Valley Treatment Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer!
