(BCRI) is a nationally recognized nonprofit and Baltimore's only comprehensive crisis response system. Since 1992, we've been at the forefront of behavioral health crisis care — providing timely, community-based services for individuals and families experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. The Opportunity We are seeking a 911 Diversion Mental Health Therapist to join Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc. (BCRI) as part of the on-site team at the Baltimore City Police Department's 911 Call Center . In this role, you'll help transform how our city responds to behavioral health emergencies and be a calm presence in moments of crisis. You'll assess high-acuity behavioral health calls, provide crisis counseling, suicide prevention, and safety planning, and coordinate with police, EMS, and mobile crisis teams to ensure individuals receive the right level of care. What You'll Do Answer and assess high-acuity behavioral health calls. Provide crisis counseling, suicide prevention, and safety planning. Coordinate with police, EMS, and mobile crisis teams for the right level of care. Qualifications Qualifications Maryland LGPC or LMSW license (required);
LCPC/LCSW-C
(preferred). 2+ years as a counseling professional (preferred) Strong crisis intervention skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
