Job Description

Overview Nimel Mental Health is an accredited behavioral health clinic. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Group Facilitator for Our adult PHP/IOP clients to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in group therapy or mental health counseling and experience working with diverse populations, including adults with mental health & SUD. This role involves leading group therapy sessions, providing support, and fostering a safe environment for participants to share their experiences. Duties Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Conduct intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine the needs of participants. Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage crises effectively within the group setting. Provide individual and group counseling tailored to the unique needs of participants, including those dealing with PTSD, addiction, grief, and chronic pain. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans and case management strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper ICD coding for diagnoses. Engage in direct support activities for individuals with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met during sessions. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage participant engagement and progress. Conduct research and data collection to evaluate the effectiveness of group interventions. Qualifications BS psychology or related field. Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field preferred; relevant certifications in counseling or therapy are a plus. Required (LGSW/LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC) Proven experience in psychotherapy, crisis management, and behavioral health settings. Familiarity with various therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis,. Experience working with , families, and individuals facing SUD challenges or mental health issues. Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation practices, and coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10). Strong communication skills and the ability to create a supportive environment for all participants. Telehealth experience is advantageous as we may utilize virtual platforms for some sessions. Understanding of special education principles is beneficial for working with diverse populations.
