Job Description

Nimel Mental Health is an accredited, as well as rapidly growing Outpatient Mental Health Clinic located in Prince George's County MD. We are currently seeking friendly, experienced and team-oriented professionals who can perform a variety of professional counseling services with respect and dignity shown for both co-workers as well as clients served. Some of which include providing care to children, adolescents, as well as adults, while working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of experienced professionals. The ability to perform client-centered services while relaying necessary information based upon each client's psycho-social needs are a vital part of all positions within the company. This as well as having the ability to ensure that the client is left feeling empowered regarding his/her role in their individual treatment plan is important. We are looking for professionals who will take pride in ensuring that upon completion of a client's services at NMH, there will be a successful transition from agency provided client care to each client's ability to manage their own self-care in their day to day lives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide mental health evaluations/assessments, formulate DSM 5 diagnosis, problem identification, crisis interventions, individual, group, and/or family therapy to assigned clients. Develop treatment plans, monitor treatment progress and follow-up when needed. Assist the Mental Health Care Coordinator/Case Manager in coordinating the client's use of other programs and outside community resources if not available at NMH. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with COMAR and CARF regulations. Complies with data collection entry, and reporting requirements. Provides clinical educational and/or liaison services to community centers/resources as needed. Participate in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams. Responsible for personal development to ensure current knowledge in the profession, as well as maintain active, current and unrestricted licensure and/or certification during all periods of employment at NMH. Ensure that proper clinical treatment/documentation is performed as scheduled. Actively participate in any/all required initial and on-going onboarding, training, and orientation of respective department assigned to per agency needs and/or assigned by NMH management staff throughout course of employment. Participates in regularly scheduled case consults with multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate client care as well as consistent communication between all disciplines. Follow all clinical and administrative policies, including on-going operating procedures/training guidelines of the organization. Ensure that COMAR regulations are adhered to, and that policies and procedures are aligned with CARF standards. Maintain a caseload per agency needs/work status
Licensure/Requirement:
Must hold a current license in the state of Maryland, (LCPC, LCPC-S, LCSW-C, LCSW-S) with no pending violations and/or convictions. This is an in-person/in-office position, and not a virtual position. Therapist interested in individual and group therapy is preferred. • Minimum of 1 year counseling experience is required.
