In this role, you will deliver individual and group therapy sessions, conduct comprehensive assessments, and develop tailored treatment plans to promote mental well-being. Duties Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately document client conditions. Provide individual and group psychotherapy using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes. Deliver specialized counseling services including grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Collaborate with clients on treatment goals, develop personalized care plans, and monitor progress through detailed medical records and HIPAA-compliant documentation. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services while maintaining high standards of patient care. Engage in case management activities such as patient assessment, behavioral health monitoring, social work coordination, and data collection for clinical research purposes. Experience Proven experience in mental health counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings, including clinic experience with diverse populations. Strong background in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and trauma-informed care. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing procedures. Experience working with children, adolescents, geriatrics or individuals with disabilities; including special education or pediatric settings preferred. Competence in crisis management protocols and behavior management strategies for various age groups and clinical needs. Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and familiarity with electronic medical records systems ensuring HIPAA compliance. Telehealth experience is highly valued; ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for virtual delivery while maintaining engagement and confidentiality.
