Job Description

Description Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals experiencing behavioral health crises? We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated professionals to join our Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit (ACSU) as an Adult Crisis Counselor part time (3 out of 5 days per week) In this rewarding role, you will provide immediate support and crisis intervention to adults facing acute mental health and behavioral health challenges, helping them regain stability and connect with ongoing resources and care.
What You'll Do:
Provide short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services in a residential crisis setting. Conduct assessments and assist with admissions, treatment planning, and discharge planning. Collaborate with therapists, case managers, medical providers, and community partners to support client recovery. Monitor client safety and well-being, including mental status and activities of daily living. Facilitate individual and group services to promote recovery and skill development. Provide crisis support, information, referrals, and phone intervention to individuals seeking assistance. Complete timely and accurate documentation. Support clients through a trauma-informed, person-centered approach that promotes overall health and wellness.

Schedule:
This is a non-exempt position with flexible scheduling based on program needs. Candidates should be available to work a variety of shifts, including: Days Evenings Overnights (awake) Weekends Holidays Additional hours may be available to ensure continuous quality care for our clients.   • This position requires a high school diploma.
  • The MHRT-1 is provided upon hire; provisional must be completed within the first 30 days of employment. Under the MHRT-1 Provisional, the following needs to be completed within one year of hire: First Aid, CPR, Mental Health Support Specialist, and MANDT (Level I required).
  • Employees are required to maintain all certifications to remain in good standing and to keep their MHRT-I current.
  • CRMA certification is required within 6 months from the date of hire.
