Bereavement Counselor Faith Hospice - 3.8 Byron Center, MI Job Details Full-time 17 hours ago Qualifications Hospice care Grief counseling Master's degree End-of-life care Full Job Description Bereavement Counselor - Full-time, Faith Hospice Faith Hospice is seeking to add a full-time Bereavement Counselor to our Bereavement Team to provide support to families and caregivers by offering bereavement services, information, and education following the loss of their loved one. As a key member of this team of professionals, the Bereavement Counselor will work a full-time schedule, working weekdays and some evenings as needed.
Bereavement Counselor Responsibilities:
Make scheduled phone calls to bereaved families and loved ones to review bereavement services while addressing their progress regarding the grieving process Provide face-to-face bereavement support through individual counseling as well as support groups Participate in special services and groups throughout the service area Develop and follow the bereavement plan of care in the EMR proficiently
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work and clinical licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Michigan 2-4 years of clinical counseling or social work experience, including prior experience in dealing with end-of-life, grief, and loss issues Top candidates will be able to multi-task, work autonomously as well as within a team setting and be well-organized Qualified candidates will have a positive communication style along with strong interpersonal skills
