Location:
Dearborn, MI Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Therapist to provide mental health crisis intervention services in collaboration with a local police department. This role involves responding to mental health-related 911 calls, conducting assessments, and connecting individuals with appropriate care and community resources. Key Responsibilities Respond to crisis situations alongside law enforcement Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations Provide crisis intervention and short-term therapeutic support Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Coordinate care and refer clients to appropriate community resources Maintain accurate and timely documentation Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Ability to: Wear a bullet-proof vest during work Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives Facilitate meetings, ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas and problems are addressed Objectively gather information, identify linkages and trends and apply findings to assignments Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Speak and write in English Interpret, speak and write in Arabic, Spanish or other native language of the predominant service population is preferred Maintain confidentiality of agency and client information Requirements Master's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field Active license (LPC, LMSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist) Minimum 2 years of experience in a mental health setting Strong crisis intervention and assessment skills Ability to work in high-pressure environments Preferred Qualifications Experience working with law enforcement or crisis response teams Bilingual (Spanish, Arabic, or other languages) is a plus Experience with substance abuse counseling or psychological testing What We Offer Competitive salary Supportive team environment Opportunities for growth and advancement Meaningful work making a direct impact in the community
