Licensed Domestic and Sexual Violence Therapist Ionia, MI 48846 $55,000 a year - Full-time $55,000 a year - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Domestic and Sexual Violence Therapist to provide vital theraputic services to individuals and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence. In this role, you will deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy tailored to each client's unique needs, fostering healing, resilience, and empowerment. Your expertise will help survivors navigate complex emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and rebuild their lives in a safe and supportive environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify mental health needs related to domestic and sexual violence experiences Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidenced based therapy techniques Develop personalized plans aligned with survivor goals and clinical best practices Provide case management support by coordinating services with community resources and ensuring continuity of care Maintain accurate documentation. Educate survivors on mental health topics, coping skills, and safety planning strategies Monitor survivor progress through ongoing assessments and adjust therapeutic approaches as needed to optimize outcomes Requirements Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent credential with specialization in domestic and sexual violence trauma Proven experience in behavioral health, mental health counseling, or trauma-focused therapy Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation tools and assessment techniques specific to trauma survivors Expertise in child & family counseling and case management Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse populations in individual or group settings Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality Join us in empowering survivors of domestic and sexual violence through expert care and compassionate support.
