Job Description

Correctional Mental Health Therapist (Contract) -Ionia, MI Care One is seeking a Mental Health Professional to fill a position located inside the Bellamy Correctional Facility. These professionals will provide mental health services to inmates and play a vital role in their well-being. Bellamy Correctional Facility - Ionia, MI 8:00AM - 4:30PM No weekends, No Holidays, No Evenings $55.00/hr. PTO Weekly Pay Responsibilities of the Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP): Evaluate referrals for treatment needs of mentally ill or disabled prisoners. Facilitate group sessions on psychoeducation, psychosocial skills, and DBT.
Specialized Therapy:
Will provide Sex Offender Therapy to sex offenders, Assaultive Offender Therapy, and Substance Use Disorder Treatment Offer individual therapy per the treatment plan. Conduct needs assessments for prisoner re-entry and assist with post-release placement. Monitor behavior and recommend treatment adjustments as needed. Collaborate with the treatment team for effective outcomes. Coordinate treatment to ensure alignment with goals. Maintain accurate records in compliance with policies. Qualifications for the
Qualified Mental Health Professional:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology (accredited). Licensed as an LMSW, LPC, or Psychologist in the state of Michigan. Strong patient assessment, management, and documentation skills. Ability to work with diverse patients and staff as part of a team.
