Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our private practice. The ideal candidate will provide their knowledge and compassion to whatever populations you decide to work with. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and with as little intake paperwork as possible. We seek to provide the best care to the clients and therapists. We specialize in treating complex trauma using EMDR, Somatosensory, and Ego-states therapy approaches (don't worry if you don't know any or all of these well yet, we will help train). Set your own schedule and provide in person and virtual sessions. Percentage split is very good for both sides. The Therapist will play a vital role in supporting clients through crisis management using specialized counseling for conditions such as PTSD of all kinds, coping skills, and how to be in their bodies peacefully. A strong understanding of ethics, respecting all humans, HIPAA compliance, and how to keep from burning out are needed to ensure quality patient care and accurate record-keeping. This job is not to listen to clients for years putting out short-term fires, it's to help people learn, grow, heal, and move on. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical research methods and medical terminology. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as above mentioned as well as Gestalt Therapy, and other evidence-based practices. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions addressing mental health issues. Utilize crisis intervention techniques to manage acute situations effectively while ensuring client safety. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and document progress using
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding standards. Engage in case management activities to coordinate care with other healthcare providers and support systems. Participate in clinical research projects related to behavioral health or mental health counseling to enhance treatment approaches. Deliver services via telehealth platforms when applicable, ensuring confidentiality and technical proficiency. Stay current with developments in social work practices, psychopharmacology updates, and special education strategies for clients with disabilities or developmental delays. Support patients through intake procedures and ongoing patient care assessments while adhering to medical documentation standards. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling Psychology or related field; licensure or certification as required by state regulations. We are considering people who will be graduating in May 2026 as well! Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or addiction counseling. Strong knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for diagnostic evaluation documentation. Experience working with diverse populations including children & family counseling, geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. Familiarity with crisis management protocols and crisis intervention strategies. Telehealth experience preferred; ability to utilize digital platforms securely and effectively. Knowledge of medical records management and HIPAA compliance standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients across different age groups and backgrounds. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient or inpatient settings. Join our dedicated team committed to delivering compassionate mental health care through innovative approaches tailored to each individual's needs. We value professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on clients' lives while adhering to the highest standards of clinical practice. Have a desire to learn how to be the best therapist you can be.
