Intake Specialist Sterling Heights, MI Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Master's degree in social work Treatment plan development Mental health and behavioral care Intake Master's degree in psychology Mid-level State healthcare regulations Master's degree Medical scheduling Counseling Psychology Substance abuse Social Work Referral coordination Psychopharmacology 2 years Master's degree in counseling Community resource coordination Full Job Description Intake Specialist is responsible for assessing eligibility for service requests based on Michigan Mental Health Code and Medicaid Guidelines and providing denied requests with due process rights and alternative service recommendations. Must have knowledge of diagnostic criteria for services; knowledge of programs and services offered at TTI as well as the ability to diagnose substance use and mental health disorders. Responsible for assigning the case and scheduling the treatment plan, completing initial paperwork, coordinating pre-intake and all initial appointments for new individuals presenting for services. Will make referrals to community resources as applicable, office, hospital and/or community based work as appropriate. Knowledge of a broad range of emotional and mental disorders, current treatment techniques as well as psychotropic medications preferred. Master's in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling with appropriate licensure. At least two years of clinical experience.
