We offer comprehensive, person-centered services for individuals with substance use disorders (SUD), mental health conditions, and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) . Our wide range of programs includes case management, therapy, transportation, skill-building, and more , all designed to promote independence, recovery, and well-being . Our team is dedicated to empowering individuals through compassionate, high-quality care tailored to their unique needs . Position Overview The Therapist provides counseling services to individuals with mental health conditions, SUD, and IDD, as well as their families. This role is responsible for maintaining a counseling caseload, completing all required paperwork in a timely fashion, maintaining client electronic health records, completing psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and supporting our members using evidence-based practices and a person-centered approach to treatment. We currently have Therapist openings in Westland and Grosse Pointe. Key Responsibilities Provides individual and family therapy for members using evidence-based practices. Facilitate crisis intervention, conflict resolution and stress management. Responds immediately to emergencies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Collaborate with other persons/groups including families, staff and community service providers. Must maintain a case load that is audit ready at all times. Must maintain accurate and sufficient documentation to permit successful entering into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and allow for timely billing. Writes, maintains and submits accurate, complete and timely documentation (daily progress notes, consumer records, vehicle records, accident reports, incident reports) to ensure quality, service compliance with the IPOS and with funders. Supports a philosophy of service delivery that is recovery based, person centered and culturally competent. Must possess high level of interpersonal skills necessary to provide mental health services to consumers and their identified natural support systems. Psychosocial assessment risk factor analysis and treatment planning. Ability to manage multiple tasks and time management. Keep abreast of all required trainings including CPR, First Aide, Recipient Rights, and Person-Centered Planning. Complies with Corporate Compliance Standards. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Perform other duties as required. Required Skills & Qualifications Master's degree in social work or counseling LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, or LPC licensure. Must meet the requirements for Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credentialing within 60 days of hire. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills . Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team . If providing services to clients diagnosed with SUD, an active MCBAP credential (CADC, CAADC, CCS) or enrollment in a MCBAP development plan is required. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
