Job Description
How you make a difference The Travel Mental Health Professional is responsible for traveling to different locations to offer clinical services to individuals under the guidance of the MH Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor, or MH Director. This role also involves providing mental health consultation and training to facility staff. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience in mental health treatment and counseling. Additional Details We are looking for a masters level, licensed Mental Health Professional to travel and support our correctional sites in Minnesota. Qualifications & Requirements Education Master's degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university. Experience Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation. Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time. Licenses/Certifications LMSW, LPC, or similar licensure in the state from the appropriate state licensing board. Must maintain CPR certification and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical and consultation services in accordance with policies and procedures and professional organization standards.
- Conduct individual and group psychotherapy/counseling to foster effective psychological functioning and reduce maladaptive behavior.
- Provide crisis intervention services and complete clinical service reports for persons served as assigned.
- Administer, interpret, and report on personality, intellectual, and other tests as allowed by State statutes, rules, and regulations.
