Job Description

Summary:
Valley View Recovery Center in Cannon Falls, MN, a client centered holistic facility, is hiring for a Mental Health Services Supervisor for a 54 bed high intensity residential substance abuse treatment program for adult men. This individual would have a caseload and supervise Mental Health Professionals. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): Establish therapeutic relationships with assigned clients and meet with each client as needed. Complete documentation as appropriate regarding authorizations, client needs, family needs, agency requests, treatment plans and regular entries for group attendance as required by Valley View Recovery Center standards. Document all contacts, incidents, and progress while client is in program Conduct functional assessments and develop individual treatment plans for assigned clients Attend daily staff and clinical meetings Conduct ongoing evaluation of client needs to make appropriate community and in-house referrals Implement services in the treatment plan for each client. The plan may include services that instruct, assist, and support clients in areas such as: interpersonal communication skills, community resource utilization and integration skills, crisis assistance, relapse prevention skills, healthy lifestyle skills and practices, medication education and monitoring, mental illness symptom management skills, and transition to community living services. Work collaboratively with all other organizational services and managers Maintain ongoing, current, and required training for best practice service delivery Fill in for group and individual counseling, when needed Provide individual MH therapy and group education. Document services provided in appropriate client files according to VVRC policies and procedures. Help develop comprehensive treatment plans that meet the individual needs of the client. Complete and document DAs, when needed, in accordance with VVRC policies and procedures. Conduct weekly individual supervision meetings with clinicians and interns. Responsible for disciplinary action in response to employee problems, performance or behavior; including but not limited to, verbal, written and performance improvement plan. Exhibits knowledge of core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implementing skills into all aspects of treatment. Maintain current knowledge of site and client activities. Available to clients and referents for questions and other assistance. Maintaining knowledge of program philosophy and policies and procedures, 245G requirements, facility operations. Train and supervise new MHP staff and interns. Clearly understanding the program mission and how his/her work integrates with and advances the goals of the program. Complete other tasks as assigned by Treatment Director.
Requirements:
Demonstrated knowledge and skills working with colleagues who thrive in a multi-cultural setting Demonstrated ability and emotional intelligence to work in unpredictable, crisis response, and team oriented setting Maintain strict and confidential guidelines regarding current and former clients, their families, and referents in accordance with federal and state laws Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-directed and ability to work independently Familiarity with Procentive software a plus MHP or Co-Occurring License in the state of MN Minimum of 3 years mental health therapy experience 1+ years in a supervisory role (preferred) We Offer a
