$50,894 to$57,256.79 Valid U.S. Class D Driver's License with Fond du Lac Insurability is required. Must meet criteria in any one of the following domains; Holds a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university; OR Graduate student internship in behavioral sciences or related fields and is formally assigned by an accredited college; OR Has at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience with adults or children that have 1 of the following; Mental illness Substance abuse disorder Emotional Disturbances Traumatic brain injury Considerable knowledge of adult & children mental health services in the region. Experience with and/or exposure to children's mental health services. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency personnel, county officials, diverse cultures, and community partners. Demonstrate experience in mental health assessment, crisis intervention and emergency clinical decision-making abilities and have knowledge of local services and resources. Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, Access, Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required. Demonstrated experience working with Native American communities, culture customs, and beliefs is required. Demonstrated experience working with Native American clients, communities and is able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity is required. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks. Subject to immunization review and submitted proof of required vaccinations. Travel is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Normal physical requirements. Provide short term intensive mental health intervention to provide relief of distress based on a determination that the client's behavior is a serious deviation from their baseline level of functioning. Completes all crisis documentation to include written and electronic, in an accurate and timely manner. In a culturally appropriate way, assess the client's current life situation, source of stress, symptoms, risky behaviors and mental health problems. Evaluate client strengths and limitations, support network and functioning. Develop an initial, brief crisis treatment plan as soon as appropriate but no later than 24 hours after the initial face-to-face intervention. Schedules case consultation meetings with appropriate service providers when necessary. Create a treatment plan that addresses the needs and problems identified in the assessment; identify short term goals with frequency and types of services to be provided, make recommendations and referrals to appropriate community resources, mental health services, local law enforcement, local medical facilities, or county social services. Make referrals to community resources and maintain relationships with those resources. Responsible for mandatory reporting and duty to warn. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with agency personnel, county and state officials and the community. Conduct in-service training sessions for Human Services staff on topics related to service delivery as needed. Complete reports promptly (monthly Reservation Business Committee (RBC) reports, program quarterly reports). Collaborates with mental health consultation team meetings. Appropriate work attire is required. Must attend all mandatory department trainings. Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
